The Point Is Sharp

After seasons of round toes and ballet flats, the pointed boot is the silhouette editors keep circling for fall. It lengthens the leg under wide-leg and barrel jeans, sharpens a midi dress, and gives tailored trousers an edge that a round toe never could.
The runway roots run back to Louis Vuitton and Mugler's fall 2026 shows, with Lanvin, Gabriela Hearst and Situationist offering their own versions. Paris street style in early October made the case in real outfits rather than on runways alone: a leather jacket, green knit, jeans and a brown suede bag, finished with a point.
It also lands neatly in Halloween week without tipping into costume. A witchy point, worn straight, with the rest of the outfit relaxed: that is the whole trick.
- Grazia's fall boot edit puts the pointed toe at the top of the season, with suede knee-highs and croc-effect ankle boots as the two buys.
- Wear it with volume: a narrow toe balances wide-leg trousers and barrel jeans, and lets the tip peek from under the hem.
- Brown suede reads warm and seasonal; glossy black leather is the after-dark version.
